Teyla was our cheeky puppy, and our only girl in a litter of 5. She had it over her brothers from day dot, never taking any prisoners and full of confidence so we nicknamed her 'Teyla', after the Stargate Atlantis character. She was the first on her feet and had a natural affinity for tugs and games as soon as her eyes were open. I'd been contacted by Wendy some time before we had even put this litter together explaining how she'd been bitten by the sports bug and wanted a new family member and little sister to join their beautiful girl Eva doing all the fun sports things.
We patiently waited and were so relieved when Vader blessed us with a girl. It was apparent as her personality emerged that little Teyla was a match made in heaven, so when I finally offered her to Wendy, there were a few tears of happiness from both sides. After a family meeting, it was decided that she would keep her nickname as it seemed a perfect fit.
Teyla will be focusing more on showcasing her skills in the sports arena and in scent work, where her heart truly lies. I can't wait to see what the future holds for this little dynmo in the sports world, with Wendy and Kiera at the helm, I have no doubts she'll be living her best life.
Little Teyla returned to us in 2021 and became the mother of our Chef Litter something I can never thank Wendy and the family enough for allowing.
