As with every litter we breed, we will potentially be looking for loving homes to 'Co-Own' puppies with.
Above all else, our Lappies are considered part of the family and to ensure they thrive and flourish, we aim to keep our home pack at a number where everyone can receive the love and attention they need and deserve. There is no right number for any one person but for us, our dogs are our life, and we want them to live their very best lives without deprivation. This means we limit the number of Lappies we keep ourselves at home and so, rely on owners such as you to help share the lappie love with people across Australia.
In order to continue preserving Lappies now and ensure this breed doesn't head towards endangerment or worse extinction, we as breeders dedicate our lives to securing the future of Lappies through purposeful, responsible and accountable breeding. By assisting us as Co-Owners, every dog we breed gets to live a fulfilled and sensational life with loving owners, whilst still being able to contribute to the future of Lappies in Australia.
To remain responsible, accountable and above all ethical, when old enough we conduct non-invasive health testing of dogs in Co-ownership, Hip and Elbow X-rays and ACES eye screening amongst other things, to ensure they are fit and healthy to be included in the future of Ehana.
For males, we ask that they be allowed to remain entire, and provided they pass their health screening, potentially contribute to Ehana's future. This could be through siring their own litter or being collected for use further down the track, or by helping the future of another dedicated Lappie breeder who shares our sentiments.
For females, we also ask that they remain entire, and provided they pass their health screening, be allowed to return to us for approximately 9 weeks, to have their very own litter. During this time away, you are more than welcome to visit and we actively encourage it!
Each dog has the potential to leave behind a legacy and by investing in a purposefully bred dog's future, you become a part of that legacy.
Every puppy we breed shares a little piece of our heart and will always be a part of our family. We want to be there with you every step of the way to celebrate your wins and help you through troubling times by providing lifelong support and hopefully build an enduring friendship in the process.
