Lando was the adorable unassuming puppy. The one who was confident but cautious, yet had no fear. He would assess the situation rather than running in head first and once he considered everything to be above board, then he'd engage. He and his brother Kaiko were so soft and smooshy, both being completely content to be carried and cuddled and generally unphased by most things. I considered Lando to be rather bombproof, so that dog who was going to be well suited to a busy family with kids.
I'd been contacted by Lindsey months and months before we had even put the litter together, about introducing a lappie to her family and we finally had a meet up at a local park to find out more about each other and of course, meet Vader and Ryker. We then played the long waiting game for Vader to come in to season and an even longer wait to find out if we would even have a puppy for her! Vader didn't disappoint and once we could confirm we'd definitely have a puppy, it was excitement and an anxious 8 weeks until they could bring their little bundle of fluff home.
I wanted to be sure it was the right fit, and the more Lando's personality emerged, the more confident I was that he was the one for them. When he met the kids at 4 and 6 weeks, and didn't bat an eyelid at anything we threw at him, I knew he'd found his perfect forever home.
Lando's name follows along our Star Wars tradition, behind Vader and her mum Wookie (Alleria). He reminds me so much of his dad Bamse in looks, but even has a hint of great granddad louis with his big sweeping rear angles, I'm excited to watch him grow and mature and look forward to getting him out to the occasional show. He's going to be absolutely adored and doted on by his family, living his very best life, and hopefully one day, he'll have the chance to contribute to the next generation.
